About the event
Birmingham Alliance for Safer Spaces is hosting a monthly community gathering at Cha House, consisting of a welcome circle, team discussions, and time for supply kit making, trainings, and workshops. The community gathering is open to everyone and is not exclusive to volunteers. The idea is to create a free, sober, monthly gathering for folks to connect, learn more about harm reduction, build skills, and be in community.
Birmingham Alliance for Safer Spaces is a harm reduction & education organization. We distribute naloxone, test strips, and other safety supplies at local events & festivals and beyond. They also host events like Frills & Flannel Gender Affirming Clothing Swap. Our goal with this monthly gathering is to maximize our efforts so we can promptly get supplies to those needing them the most and get more folks informed & involved with harm reduction.
