Historical Sedations Book and Zine Talk at Cha House

The book we're touring with is the recently released full-length "Deconstructing Settler Socialism: Anarchism and the Internationals in the Wild West." The book dives deep into the 19th century origins of anarchism, socialism, the labor movement, and more in the genocidal settler colonial period that transformed our own home region into 'western north america.' It shines critical light on the settler colonial dynamics of early cooperative colonies, violent racial exclusion in the early labor movement, and attempts (often tragically unsuccessful) to counter this, while drawing out some echoes to our current day.

The event will have a one hour book talk followed by some time for discussion/Q&A. Free entry for attendees, and the book itself as well as a table full of rad zines and diy book reprints we bound ourselves will ideally be available pay-what-you-can.
